What Everyone Should Know About Worker's Compensation
The City of Taunton provides a valuable insurance. It is called Workers
Compensation Insurance and it provides you with benefits in case of a
job-related injury or illness.
Q:
What is the first thing I should do?
A:
If you are injured on the job, immediately report the problem to your
foreman/Department Manager. You should also complete a written incident
report. Filing a claim is important, especially if medical attention is
necessary. Prompt and accurate fact-gathering is important in making sure
you receive the benefits and medical care you need. Please complete the
forms accurately and completely. Your office department, will have all the
necessary forms.

Tristan Occupational Health is our preferred provider. We have arrangements
with them to treat our work-injured employees. Just identify yourself as a
City employee and that you have received a work-related injury.
For follow up care, Tristan Occupational Health Clinic is our
preferred provider, and is available to take care of you.
Q:
If I have any other questions or need further medical tests, who do I
contact?
A:
The City of Taunton is self-insured, every dollar spent is paid by the
City. We have contracted with TD Insurance, as our Third Party
Administrator to review all claims, treatment and expenses. Your doctor or
pharmacy should call TD Insurance to have services approved, bills should be
sent to them, or to answer any questions. They can be contacted at:

Q:
What happens if I lose time as a result of my injury?
