Temporary City Hall
CITY HALL OPERATIONS

As a result of the recent fire, Taunton City Government offices will operate out of 141 Oak Street the former Lowell Maxham School.   

That same phone numbers that citizens would use to contact each office at the original City Hall will remain the same to contact those offices at the temporary City Hall.


The following offices will be located in the temporary City Hall on 141Oak Street:
Mayor's Office
Clerk of Council Committee's Office
City Clerk's Office
Tax Assessor's Office
Registrar of Voter's Office
Human Resources Office
Building Department Office
Veteran's Services Office
Risk Manager
Law Office
Engineer's Office

The City Auditor and City Treasurer/Collector's Offices will operate out of the TMLP Headquarters at 55 Weir Street.   All Tax bills and Water bills can be paid at this location.

The Taunton Emergency Management Agency is located in the gray trailer behind City Hall.

All building, electrical and plumbing permits can be obtained between the hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday thru Friday at the City Government Offices at 141 Oak Street.

Anyone wishing to obtain a birth, marriage and death certificate should first call in advance the following number:   508-821-1024

The certificates can be obtained 24 hours later that the City Government Offices at 141 Oak Street.
