A presentation “Celebrating the Persistence of Patriots of Color”
Saturday, February 25, 1:00-3:00 pm
The OCHM will host speakers to present their on-going work elevating the stories of veterans of
color from Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Learn about the history of the 55th Regiment,
fascinating discoveries, and preservation efforts with authors and historians. The opening ceremony
will feature a flag exchange between the OCHM and the Varnum Memorial Armory Museum with
elected officials.
