Tailings / Uncashed Checks
Massachusetts General Law Chapter 200A, Section 9A provides Municipal Treasurers a procedure for disposing of uncashed checks held by a City which are deemed abandoned. These abandoned funds are called “tailings.”
The City of Taunton has provided a list of names of persons appearing to be owners of uncashed checks issued by the City.
