COVID-19 Important Information - Continuously Updated
COVID-19 Positive Cases Among Taunton Residents:
Sunday, June 13, 2021: 5 cases
Saturday, June 12, 2021: 6 cases
For more information, please visit https://www.mass.gov
You may notice a fluctuation in the overall numbers of positive cases of COVID-19 among Taunton residents. This could be due to a number of reasons, including but not limited to, cases being revoked due to false positives and new people being added and others being released from isolation.
As of May 29th, the Commonwealth’s mask order was rescinded. The Department of Public Health has issued a new mask advisory consistent with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s updated guidance.
Masks are still mandatory for all individuals on public and private transportation systems (including rideshares, livery, taxi, ferries, MBTA, Commuter Rail and transportation stations), inside schools, in healthcare facilities and in other settings hosting vulnerable populations, such as congregate care settings.
Mask Advisory for Unvaccinated Residents
The Department of Public Health issued a public health advisory effective May 29th that advises all unvaccinated residents to continue to wear masks in indoor settings and when they can’t socially distance.
