Special State Election - June 2,2020
Due to the Coronavirus the Third Bristol Representative District Special State Election which was to be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 has been postponed.
The Third Bristol Representative District Special State Election has been rescheduled and will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 and the polling hours are 7:00 A.M. to 8:00P.M.
Last day and hour to Register to Vote, Change Address, Change Party Enrollment for the Special State Election will be held on Friday, May 22, 2020 in the Registrar of Voters Office at Temporary City Hall, 141 Oak St, Taunton, MA 02780 in Room 4.
The Registrar of Voters Office will be open 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m..to 8:00 p.m. Anyone who has a question on their voting status may call the Registrar of Voters Office at (508) 821-1044.
DEADLINE FOR NOMINATION PAPERS - APRIL, 28 2020
Submit nomination papers to the Registrar of Voters for certification of signatures for all offices expect state-wide and Congress. (5pm last day and hour) G.L.c. 53, §7 G.L.c.53, §46
- MAIL – We encourage candidates to mail their nomination papers if the deadline is not approaching. Candidates will need to include a pre-stamped and pre-addressed envelope. We advise candidates to use some sort of tracking service if they are mailing to insure timely delivery.
- DROP-BOX – The drop-box outside of City Hall may be used to drop off nomination papers. Filers please attach your contact information.
- CURBSIDE – By appointment only.
